Elevate Finance process

How the commercial financing introduction process works.

Elevate manages the initial inquiry and possible introduction. An independent third-party financing provider manages every eligibility, underwriting, approval, pricing, and agreement decision.

Elevate's responsibility

High-level inquiry review, consent, and a possible introduction.

Provider's responsibility

Eligibility, documents, underwriting, approval, pricing, and agreement terms.

Business's responsibility

Accurate information, review of provider terms, and independent advice where needed.

Five stages

From initial inquiry to provider decision.

01

Initial commercial inquiry

Responsible: Business and Elevate

The business provides limited, high-level information: contact details, company name, intended commercial use, approximate amount, and timing.

This is an inquiry, not a financing application. Sensitive financial or identity documents should not be attached to the initial email.

02

High-level clarification

Responsible: Elevate

Elevate may ask limited questions to understand the business context and whether an introduction to a type of independent provider may be relevant.

Elevate does not underwrite, verify eligibility, assess credit, or approve the request.

03

Consent and proposed introduction

Responsible: Business and Elevate

If a potential route is identified, Elevate describes the proposed introduction and obtains appropriate consent before sharing identifiable inquiry information.

A provider's privacy practices and terms apply when the business engages with that provider.

04

Independent provider review

Responsible: Financing provider

The independent provider determines its required information and conducts its own eligibility review, verification, underwriting, pricing, approval, and documentation process.

Elevate does not control the provider's criteria, timing, decision, offer, or agreement.

05

Review of an offer or agreement

Responsible: Business and provider

If the provider presents an offer, the business reviews the amount, costs, repayment obligations, security, fees, covenants, and other terms directly with the provider.

The business should obtain independent legal, accounting, tax, or financial advice where appropriate.

Initial inquiry

Information suitable for the first contact.

The initial email should contain enough information to understand the commercial request without including documents that require a more appropriate collection process.

  • Your name, role, and company
  • Contact information
  • A high-level description of the business
  • The approximate commercial financing need
  • The intended use and approximate timing

Sensitive information

Documents not to send by ordinary email.

If an independent provider requires supporting documents, the provider or Elevate should identify the appropriate process before those documents are transmitted.

  • ×Bank statements or banking details
  • ×Personal identification or ownership documents
  • ×Tax filings or credit reports
  • ×Banking credentials or account access
  • ×Other sensitive financial or personal records

Provider offer review

Information to review before entering an agreement.

Any financing offer comes from the independent provider. The business is responsible for reviewing the full agreement and obtaining professional advice where appropriate.
